The Council through its various Committees,
Sub-Committees and Panels offers an ideal forum to exporters
to come together to discuss the matter of common as well as
conflicting interests, and find out solutions to mutual
benefits eliminating the conflict if any. While problems of
the specific group of commodities are put before the
respective panel or panel committee, the problems involving
the overall export interests are remitted to the Committee of
Administration.
Some of the important matters that are coming before these
bodies are indicated below:
a) Export policy announced by the Government and
modification, if any, that exporters would like to suggest.
b) Trade complaints against Indian Exporters, which require
attention of the industry as a whole.
c) Selection of commodities and countries for conducting
market surveys.
d) Selection of personnel for various Trade Delegations,.
Sales Teams that are sponsored by the Council.
e) Inviting trade Delegations from abroad.
f) Fixation of export target for the industry as a whole
and recommendations to be made to the Government in order to
achieve the target.
g) Study of the export trends and suggestions that the
industry would like to offer to arrest the declining trends,
if any. |
