Subject: A request for filling up the Questionnaire on Export Incentives

It`s a well established fact that exports are an engine of economic growth as it not only generates foreign exchange, also creates employment.  To further stimulate the exports every nation in the world gives Export Incentives (EIs) to their exporters including India, in accordance with the WTO norms.  During my interactions with some exporters I realized that some of them were :

• not aware of the EIs offered to them.
• not satisfied with the kind of EIs available to them and desired certain modifications.
• not interested in availing the benefits offered to them through EIs.
• had no knowledge about the Government`s export promotional measures for

the growth of exports.  

Therefore I decided to study and carry out a thorough research in the area titled “Impact of export Incentives on Indian Exporters Performance: An Empirical Investigation” to be able to make useful and practical suggestions to the policy makers.

I invite you to join me in this project that may be instrumental in modifying the Export Incentives Policy Issues in the best interest of the exporters.  I humbly request you to spare some of your valuable time and answer the enclosed questionnaire.  I shall try to include every single suggestion made by you and assure you that your response shall be completely confidential.
